Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our client's sales team.
This role focuses on identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth by selling our preclinical research services to biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
With less than 25% travel required, this is a primarily inside sales role ideal for individuals passionate about science and skilled in consultative selling.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales goals and revenue targets. Identify and qualify leads through research, outreach, and networking. Build and nurture strong relationships with clients in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. Present and promote preclinical research services, tailoring solutions to client needs. Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to contract closure, ensuring excellent client experiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientific and operational staff, to align client expectations with service delivery. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts using CRM tools. Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics to provide insights and recommendations. Qualifications: 2–6 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role. Industry experience or familiarity with preclinical research, biotech, or pharma is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. What We Offer: $70-90k base salary and performance-based incentives.
