Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Attorney specializing in Business Planning Law to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 6-7 years of experience providing legal counsel to businesses on matters related to corporate structure, succession planning, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities: Advise clients on business formation, entity selection, and corporate governance. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, shareholder agreements, and other business-related legal documents. Provide counsel on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including due diligence and transactional support. Assist in developing and implementing business succession and exit strategies. Collaborate with tax advisors and accountants to provide comprehensive planning solutions. Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with state, federal, and international business laws. Represent clients in negotiations and disputes as needed.
Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the West Virginia Bar and in good standing. 6-7 years of experience in business planning law, with a strong understanding of corporate, contract, and tax law principles. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
