Our client is seeking a Director of Engineering for a hybrid role based in Summit, New Jersey. This position requires expertise in dry powder processing machinery and a strong background in mechanical process and design.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the effective functioning of Engineering and IT operations. Develop and manage comprehensive budgets for both departments, aligning with strategic plans for operational improvements. Lead Project, Design, and Controls Engineering teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Act as a key customer liaison, providing critical support and management interface. Provide technical support across departments and drive product development initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities
Supervise and collaborate with Mechanical Engineering Design staff. Oversee Project Engineering staff, focusing on major projects and scheduling. Manage Electrical Controls team, ensuring alignment with design criteria. Handle departmental administration and general management tasks. Collaborate with Sales & Marketing teams to support engineering initiatives. Prepare and present reports, analyses, and presentations as needed. Ensure compliance with ISO, quality, and safety standards. Provide technical support to the Technical Center and Pharma Lab. Coordinate with Manufacturing to support engineering operations. Address facility-related engineering needs.
Qualifications
Experience with dry powder processing machinery. Background in mechanical process and design. 10 years of experience in rotating machinery design.
Education
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
Salary
$170,000 - $180,000
