Our client provides long-term care, owned and operated by a local Orlando nurse, and is dedicated to providing home care services for individuals with developmental disabilities both young and old. They are searching for a highly qualified and dedicated individual to join our team as the Director of Nursing.
$90-120k base salary full benefits
Job Summary
This is a confidential position with significant responsibility for overseeing the provision of quality nursing and healthcare services while maintaining our commitment to professional standards and patient care.
Job Responsibilities: Supervise and manage, directly or through subordinates, all personnel involved in direct client care. Uphold and ensure adherence to professional standards of community nursing and home health care practice. Coordinate the safe delivery of home health services to both group home residents and field patients, reflecting the agency’s mission, vision, and values. Maintain compliance with agency procedures and client care policies. Develop and enforce service policies, administrative rules, and procedures in line with CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control. Assist with Human Resources management to retain a competent and qualified staff. Facilitate orientation for new staff and provide ongoing education and updates on current health care practices. Conduct performance evaluations and competency assessments of nursing personnel. Lead the agency's Performance Improvement Program and quality assurance initiatives. Oversee case management and ensure service delivery is consistent with clients' care plans and medical regimens. Ensure confidentiality of client health information is maintained. Manage the Infection Control Program and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Adhere to the agency's Code of Conduct and ensure all staff compliance.
Qualifications: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida. At least one year of supervisory experience in a licensed home health agency, hospital, ambulatory surgical center, or assisted living facility as defined under F.S., Chapter 395, or part II or part III of Chapter 400. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team. Strong organizational skills and the capacity to handle multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on maintaining high standards of care and confidentiality. Knowledge of CDC and OSHA guidelines and the ability to implement safety and infection control procedures effectively.
