Position Overview
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) play a crucial role in responding to medical emergencies, delivering patient care, and providing support in pre-hospital settings. This includes assessing patients, determining appropriate emergency care, administering treatment, and safely transporting patients between hospitals and care facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
Provide emergency medical care using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Document patient conditions, treatments, and other relevant information.
Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold patient rights.
Transport patients safely and in accordance with policies and procedures.
Ensure a clean, well-stocked, and safe environment for patient care.
Operate and drive ambulances in compliance with safety policies and local laws.
Provide basic life support and collect critical patient data.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Professionalism in all interactions.
Proficiency in relevant software and technology systems.
Ability to write clear reports and correspondence.
Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings.
Familiarity with company protocols, operational procedures, and safety policies.
Knowledge of emergency medical service techniques and best practices.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely.
Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Current EMT certification/license in the state of practice.
Valid CPR certification.
Valid driver’s license in the state of practice.
At least one year of experience in an emergency care setting preferred. About our client:
