Job Summary
If you have a deep understanding of print production, sharp attention to detail, and a proven ability to create accurate, competitive estimates, this role is for you. You’ll collaborate with sales, customer service, and production teams to ensure estimates align with customer needs and company capabilities.
Job Responsibilities: Prepare Print Estimates: Create accurate estimates for materials, labor, processes, and timelines. Team Collaboration: Work with sales and production teams to review projects, identify cost-effective solutions, and ensure estimate accuracy. Cost Analysis: Use vendor pricing, industry standards, and data to calculate costs. Support Projects: Monitor production to ensure costs align with estimates. Customer Communication: Serve as a point of contact for cost and technical inquiries. Maintain Records: Organize and update all estimate documentation. Stay Updated: Research industry trends, materials, and technology for competitive pricing. Ensure Profitability: Align estimates with company margins and objectives. Troubleshoot Issues: Address cost, material, or production challenges proactively.
Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in print estimating or related field. Knowledge of print methods (digital, offset, large format, etc.). Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills for explaining technical details. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy. Understanding of print cost drivers and pricing strategies. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred: Experience with Avanti Slingshot.
