Job Summary
The Intake Coordinator manages the intake process for new patients for prescribed infusion therapies. This role facilitates a seamless onboarding experience for patients, ensuring timely initiation of therapy by coordinating between patients, healthcare providers, and insurers.
Job Responsibilities: Collect necessary medical and insurance information for new patients. Verify benefits and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all patient interactions and communications in compliance with company policies. Identify and implement ways to streamline intake processes, enhancing efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient intake Pharmacy Technician license, or willing to become licensed Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with medical terminology and home infusion services is a plus.
