Job Summary
We are looking for an IT Help Desk Specialist to provide support to our customers. Candidates should have a mix of technical and customer service skills and be passionate about technology and helping people. The ideal candidate will have experience and a desire to expand their knowledge in the IT field. The candidate must be comfortable interacting with people via phone, email, in person, virtually, and through other communication channels. This position is located onsite in Miami, with potential travel to other locations within Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The corporate office is located in Boca Raton, and commuting to Boca Raton will be required for training and occasionally as needed. The company provides mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities: Utilize great customer service skills to resolve general technical issues Provide first level response to customer issues Track, route and redirect problems to correct resources Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support Follow up with customers, and see all tickets through to timely resolution Ensure proper recording and closure of all tickets Create accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process as needed Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network Investigates user problems and identified their source; determines possible solutions; tests and implements solutions as appropriate Does basic installs, configurations and maintains personal computers: Windows networks, file servers, network cabling and other related equipment, devices and systems. Adds or upgrades and configures disk drives, printers and related equipment.
Qualifications: Minimum 4 years help desk experience or proven work experience in providing help desk support Fluent in English, written and verbal Great troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills Great customer service orientation Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems. Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques High School diploma required. AS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or higher desired
