Job Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support their legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with legal research, document preparation, case management, and administrative tasks. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle confidential information, and proficiency in legal procedures and documentation.
Job Responsibilities: Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information. Prepare, proofread, and organize legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence. Maintain and manage case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and drafting legal summaries. Schedule meetings, court appearances, and maintain attorneys’ calendars. Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court officials as needed. Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and office coordination.
Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field (preferred). 3 years prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
