Part-time Pharmacist – Long-Term Care Pharmacy
Summary
Our client is a Long-Term Care Pharmacy hiring a Part-time Pharmacist to work Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with flexibility for additional shifts as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone with LTC or consulting pharmacy experience who enjoys working independently while supporting a collaborative team. Relocation assistance is available. This shift is Friday 9:30-6, Saturday 12-4, Monday 9:30-6, and in Grand Junction, CO.
Salary
$60-$75/hour.
Relocation support available.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations. Process physician orders, refills, and patient admissions. Perform initial and final verification of all prescriptions, including controlled substances. Manage medication inventory and ordering. Communicate with LTC and assisted living facilities to resolve service issues. Operate pharmacy software: QS1 and DocuTrack. Oversee pharmacy operations and support team training. Occasional facility visits as needed. Additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
PharmD or RPh degree. Active Pharmacist license in practicing state. 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and decision-making ability. Ability to work both independently and within a team. Basic computer skills.
Preferred Attributes
Long-Term Care, IV, or consulting pharmacy experience. Supervisory or training experience. Knowledge of drug interactions, therapeutic incompatibilities, and pharmacy law. Familiarity with medication compounding and inventory systems.
