Position Overview: Our client is seeking a license Civil Engineer to join their firm. The ideal candidate would be preparing design plans for land development projects for both subdivisions (residential, commercial, industrial) and individual sites. This person would be responsible for certifying the documents they prepare, as well as the projects they oversee. Well qualified candidates would be organized, a quick learner, and an effective communicator via email and phone calls.
Key Responsibilities and Duties: Prepare engineering documents, including plans, specifications, engineering reports, etc. Review and oversee technical staff to the level of being comfortable certifying the documents they produce. Computer Aided Drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D to create plans, details, etc. depicting the existing and proposed improvements of a project site. Create proposed layout of developments. Model hydrologic and hydraulic conditions for existing and proposed sites. Reviewing project sites for compliance with federal, state and local permitting requirements. Preparing stormwater management reports, site inspection reports and various permit applications. Occasional construction observation for projects we design. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program. Professional Engineer License in one of Iowa, Wisconsin or Illinois Ability to obtain a Professional Engineer License in Iowa, Illinois or Wisconsin Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3d, Microsoft 365 (Office).
