Salary: $140,000 - $230,000 per year, based on experience.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p About the Role
The Pharmacy Operations Director will oversee the operations of our current Class A pharmacy that and lead the project to establish our new 503 A and 503 B functional Class B compounding pharmacy. This is an active working role requiring hands-on involvement in daily operations, staff management, and the development of policies and processes as the pharmacy grows. We’re seeking an entrepreneurial leader who can grow and build our current operations. The Director will partner closely with our legal department to ensure regulatory compliance to meet both state and federal standards ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in all services provided. The ideal candidate is a logistics expert who understands who to use process and procedure to scale a young operation. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring smooth functionality. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows for the new Class B pharmacy. Serve as the pharmacy expert across partner brands. Lead, train, and supervise pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Manage inventory to ensure proper storage, handling, and availability of medications. Ensure compliance with USP 795 requirements and shipping regulations. Build relationships with suppliers, healthcare providers, and clients. Manage the pharmacy’s profit and loss performance and budget. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. Lead quality assurance programs and project development efforts. Qualifications At least 3 years of staff management experience in a pharmacy. At least 2 years of Class B Sterile Compounding pharmacy experience. PharmD or RPh license. Active state license in good standing. Strong knowledge of USP compounding guidelines. Proven expertise in P&L management. Familiarity with state laws regulating pharmaceutical compounding.
