Job Summary
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide on-site mental health services within a comprehensive continuum of treatment programs. This role involves conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medication, and collaborating with healthcare and counseling teams to support individuals facing substance use disorders, mental health challenges, chronic health conditions, and involvement in the criminal justice system.
Job Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Manage mental illness and substance use disorders, prescribing medications as appropriate Facilitate mental health and medication management groups Coordinate care with Physical Health NPs and Naturopathic Physicians Consult with counselors and coordinate care with external prescribers Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records Ensure compliance with human resources, HIPAA, and OSHA guidelines Supervise nursing students and interns Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Licensure: Current and valid PMHNP license in the State of Oregon Experience: Minimum of four years providing PMHNP services to high-needs populations, including those experiencing complex co-occurring disorders, homelessness, and involvement in the criminal justice system Supervision: Experience supervising nursing students and other interns Strong understanding of psychiatric care, addiction treatment, and interdisciplinary collaboration About the Organization:
