Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
Staff Management:
Oversee the hiring, training, and development of nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and Medication Aides.
Lead and mentor the nursing team to ensure the delivery of compassionate, quality care in alignment with facility goals.
Ensure ongoing staff education and competency, providing coaching and performance evaluations to foster growth and development.
Resident Care
Perform initial, periodic, and annual physical assessments of residents, evaluating their health status and care needs.
Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring that all residents receive appropriate care based on their physical, emotional, and social needs.
Monitor and manage resident health concerns, medication regimens, and interventions to promote overall well-being.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure that the facility is fully compliant with all state and federal regulations related to nursing care, resident rights, and facility operations.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring timely and thorough documentation.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of facility practices to maintain compliance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Quality Assurance & Improvement
Establish, implement, and evaluate nursing protocols and procedures to maintain the highest standards of care.
Conduct regular assessments and quality assurance audits to ensure care practices are in line with facility goals and industry standards.
Address and resolve any concerns or issues related to resident care, staff performance, or facility operations.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with facility management, physicians, and other staff to ensure comprehensive care coordination and effective communication.
Provide guidance and support to staff in managing complex clinical situations.
Maintain open lines of communication with residents and their families, ensuring satisfaction with care and services provided.
Qualifications
Education:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience
At least 3-5 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or management role in an Assisted Living or long-term care setting.
Experience with resident assessments, care planning, and coordination of care in an assisted living environment is preferred.
Skills & Abilities
Extensive knowledge of nursing practices, assisted living regulations, and care standards.
