Salary: Base salary of $140k-$145k (negotiable based on experience), plus 15% annual bonus
Job Summary
Responsible for the processes and project engineering in support of manufacturing plants. Plans and designs manufacturing processes for a chemical production facility to improve efficiency, optimize workflow, and support capital investments.
Job Responsibilities: Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Maximize efficiency through the optimization of equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization. Contribute to operations objectives by providing recommendations, preparing, and completing action plans. Develop manufacturing processes by researching, designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment, while collaborating with vendors. Evaluate manufacturing processes through research, applying product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials knowledge. Direct and implement project activities to meet objectives. Analyze assembly, fabrication, machining, and other production processes. Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Conduct time and cost analysis of processes. Determine necessary parts, equipment, tools, and processes to achieve manufacturing goals. Oversee capital investments and equipment installation. Support the preventative maintenance program. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. 8-10 years of direct engineering experience in the manufacturing of specialty chemicals and gases. Strong background in controls and development. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, CAD, and other job-related software). Understanding and compliance with all safety rules and company policies. Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, read, talk, and hear. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
