Our client is seeking a Senior CAD Drafter/Designer to join our team in Maitland, FL. This role is ideal for a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in civil drafting and design. The Senior CAD Drafter/Designer will play a vital role in supporting our engineering team by producing accurate technical drawings, construction documents, and design plans for a variety of civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed civil engineering drawings and plans using CAD software. Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Interpret survey data, site plans, and engineering reports to develop accurate and comprehensive drawings. Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and industry standards. Assist in project planning, layout, and coordination to improve efficiency and constructability. Conduct quality control checks on drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy before submission. Maintain and organize CAD files and project documentation for easy reference and retrieval. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior drafters/designers. Stay updated on the latest CAD technology and industry best practices to enhance productivity.
Required Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field. 5 years of experience in civil drafting and design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant drafting software. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, including grading, drainage, utilities, and site development. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, blueprints, and specifications. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, precise drawings. Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GIS mapping, Revit, or MicroStation. Knowledge of stormwater management, roadway design, and land development. Familiarity with construction permitting processes and regulatory requirements.
