Sr. Project Engineer - Powder Processing Systems
About the company: Our client designs and manufactures equipment and systems for processing powders and materials. They offer solutions that reduce the granular size of powder, mix, dry, and classify material for industries such as Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Food Manufacturing. They also provide custom services, system engineering, and maintenance for optimized powder processing.
Reports to: Director of Engineering
Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate equipment/system projects from order to commissioning. Train and oversee Jr. Project Engineers and Project Engineers. Execute scope of work (technical and commercial) for pharmaceutical projects. Create and update GAANT charts, ensuring real-time communication with customers. Ensure timely transmission of drawings and technical documents, securing customer approvals. Regularly communicate with customers and attend onsite meetings. Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Production, and Vendors. Contract and oversee vendors for integrated project components. Secure change orders from customers for scope adjustments. Propose solutions for technical issues or cost overruns. Build strong customer relationships through feedback and open communication. Attend project review meetings, providing technical and commercial insights. Travel to job sites for commissioning.
Experience: Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. 14 years managing pharmaceutical projects. Powder processing experience: size reduction, mixing/drying, pneumatic systems, etc. Proficient in Microsoft Office. AutoCAD experience (a plus). Strong communication skills (written and oral).
