Job Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (Pharmacy Technician certification preferred). State Pharmacy Technician license or certification (if required). Previous compounding pharmacy experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of pharmacy software. Effective team player. Strong organizational and time management skills. Willingness to adapt to changing pharmacy needs and regulations.
Responsibilities
Compounding Medications: Prepare compounded medications under pharmacist supervision. Follow compounding protocols and guidelines. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients as prescribed. Prescription and Documentation: Assist with medication orders, prescriptions, and profiles. Maintain accurate records of compounded medications. Complete required documentation and labeling. Quality Control: Inspect and ensure accuracy and sterility of medications. Maintain equipment and workspace. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage ingredient inventory. Assist with procurement. Patient Education and Interaction: Address patient inquiries and concerns. Educate patients on medication use. Compliance and Regulations: Adhere to state and federal pharmacy regulations. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
