Territory Business Manager - Harrisburg, PA

Salary : Fully commissioned position with a draw against commission of $70-$80K plus uncapped commission with On Target Earnings of $100K-$200K. Uncapped commission structure based on a flat percentage of gross profit dollars. Includes a monthly car allowance.

Job Summary :

In this position, you'll have the chance to help influence their progressive growth in the Central Pennsylvania marketplace. The territory covers eastern / central PA : Harrisburg, Lewisburg, York, Lancaster, Reading, Allentown, Scranton and surrounding areas. This is a remote role when not traveling, with regular travel throughout the territory 3-4 days per week.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage and grow relationships with flooring contractors and dealers, including both commercial and residential contractors, multifamily builders, and others.
  • Service existing accounts, re-engage customers who have not purchased recently, and introduce new product offerings.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with clients ahead of travel within the territory.
  • Drive throughout the territory to maintain and expand customer relationships.
  • Use 1-2 home-office days weekly to schedule appointments, enter sales orders, and respond to inquiries.
  • Stay up-to-date on company products, promotions, and industry trends to act as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales goals through proactive account management.

Qualification / Education :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum of three (3) years of commercial sales and / or specification experience
  • Experience in the flooring industry strongly preferred
  • Sales experience in the wholesale distribution space preferred
  • Proven sales ability, with high level of proficiency in account discovery and development to expand the company's footprint
  • Strong understanding of how to delight customers in every situation
  • High motivation and ability to work independently
  • High level of computer proficiency, especially MS Office Suite, Teams and SharePoint
  • Experience working with a robust CRM
  • Ability to maintain a general working knowledge of all major products and industry trends
  • Ability to promote company products as a professional sales representative to all existing and prospective customer accounts
  • excellent interpersonal skills and ease of developing business relationships with internal teams
  • Daily travel within assigned territory to drive sales growth with all assigned customers
  • Proactively seek new customers within assigned territory
  • Manage all customer needs at an industry-leading level on a daily basis
  • Schedule and perform product demonstrations with potential customers
  • Identify opportunities for new potential sales with new and pre-existing customers across multiple product categories
  • Generate and submit monthly sales reports and annual forecasts to management
  • Work closely with local branch personnel to ensure complete customer satisfaction before, during and after sale.
