What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Nursing Instructor position at Crawfordsville Community Schools?
Provide instruction to students enrolled in the Pre-Nursing program in areas of medical terminology, anatomy, and certified nursing assistant (CNA) skills.
Requirements:
- Have the ability to obtain the Workplace Specialist I teaching license. https:// www.doe.in.gov/licensing/workplace-specialist
- Meet credentialing standards of post-secondary partner to be able to offer dual credit
- Be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse and in good standing in the State of Indiana
- Possess or have the ability to obtain the Certified Nurses Assistant Instructors license as soon as possible after employed
- Continue fostering relationships with long-term care facilities and other healthcare providers for training and work-based learning opportunities
- Effectively implement instruction and assessments as assigned. This includes following the curriculum guide and teaching standards as outlined by the Indiana Department of Health, the Indiana Department of Education and the post-secondary provider
- Effectively monitor all student learning. This would include, but is not limited to, observing and recording all student data related to classroom activities, providing intervention as indicated by the data and observation, communication with stakeholders regarding student learning
- Maintain all student records as required by Crawfordsville Community School Corporation and Indiana Department of Health
- Effectively implement other duties as assigned by the administration
Certification Requirements:
- Valid Indiana Teaching License, or ability to obtain Workplace Specialist I License
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Licensed Registered Nurse with two years of experience, including one year in long-term care
