Summary:
Crasy Shirts mission is to create original and memorable artwork on quality products that take our
customers on the endless vacation in everyday life. The Returns Processing Specialist
supports this purpose by performing activities relating to customer product returns and ensuring the
customer request is fulfilled. This role is responsible for managing customer returns with precision and
efficiency. This role ensures that all returns are processed accurately and promptly while maintaining
exceptional attention to detail and a focus on customer satisfaction. The specialist will collaborate with
multiple departments to ensure seamless operations and contribute to continuous process
improvements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Returns Management
- Inspect and evaluate returned goods.
- Prepare customer returns for system processing.
- Reconcile returned items with documentation.
- Decide acceptance or rejection based on procedures.
- Process refunds or credits accurately and promptly.
- Enter returns and replacement orders, managing 60-80 daily with a 3-5 business day turnaround.
Quality Assurance and Inventory
- Identify trends in returns to improve processes and quality.
- Report recurring quality issues to the supervisor.
- Prepare items (clean, re-box, relabel) for inventory.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain daily Returns Processing and Tracking Logs.
- Generate and share daily returns reports.
- Record clear customer account notes, including reasons, feedback, and instructions.
Collaboration and Communication
- Contact customers to clarify returns, request documentation, or confirm orders.
- Follow up daily on pending deliverables.
- Provide clear return process instructions to customers.
- Escalate questions to leadership as needed.
- Coordinate with retail stores and other departments to fulfill customer orders.
- Communicate effectively to resolve return issues.
Operational Efficiency
- Process undeliverable packages (Return to Sender).
- Maintain organized and compliant workspaces.
- Handle tasks with attention to detail for accurate processing.
Sales Support
- Assist on the sales floor during peak periods, delivering excellent customer service and meeting sales metrics.
Additional Responsibilities
- Be available for weekend shifts during peak periods.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to process high volumes of returns accurately under tight deadlines.
- Experience with inventory management and returns processing systems—experience with Shopify Plus and NetSuite ERP is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and busy periods.
- Prior experience in returns, customer service, or inventory control preferred.
- Familiarity with retail, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Basic Math Skills.
- Computer Skills, 2 years of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Standing, Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving items up to 45 pounds.
- Reading invoices and shipping charts/spreadsheets.
- Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels
- Must be able to abide by the company’s Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, and Response guidelines as it relates to the spread of communicable diseases, and workplace safety; this includes use of masks (as needed and required per CDC and Company recommendations) and the ability to use cleaning supplies for cleaning and disinfection purposes.
