What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager (MTA) position at CRC Associates?
We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Safety Manager. As a Safety Manager, you will work mainly on managing and overseeing the Safety aspects of MTA projects in the New York Area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reviews of job-hazard analysis and safe work plan submittals to ensure compliance with project procedures and specification requirements, and to ensure proper job safety planning has been performed and that all job-specific hazards have been properly identified;
- Perform project site walk-throughs with the Owner and Contractor to ensure compliance with all applicable industry and project-specific safety procedures and requirements;
- Lead daily Toolbox Talks and Safety briefings at field shifts
- Attend Weekly Job Progress Meetings to provide safety updates to the MTA
- Provide Safety reporting internally and to the Transit Authority
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Approved Safety Manager for at least 5 years on MTA Projects
- Strong communication and organization
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to job sites and the ability to work in various locations across New York City
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- MTA Safety: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- MTA Track Training (Required)
- Approval letters as MTA Safety Manager or Safety Coordinator (Required)
