Job Summary
We are seeking a Billing and Collections Specialist to manage accounts receivable, process and put together invoices, and ensure timely payment collections for insurance-related claims. This part-time role requires at least three days a week and offers potential for a hybrid work option following 3-6 months of in-office training.
If you have insurance billing experience, this is a huge plus!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and submit invoices for insurance claims and other restoration services.
- Track and follow up on unpaid invoices to ensure timely payment collections.
- Communicate professionally with insurance companies, adjusters, and customers to resolve billing issues.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Generate reports on billing and collections metrics as needed.
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure billing aligns with project details.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial information.
Qualifications
- Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency with billing systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Preferred:
- Experience with insurance billing or working in the restoration industry.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Training Period: 3-6 months in-office for hands-on training.
- After Training: Hybrid work model (a combination of remote and in-office work).
- Part-time schedule, minimum 3 days per week.
