Our client, a family office focused on the sale/leaseback sector with a nationwide portfolio of commercial real estate (CRE) assets seeks an experienced, detail-oriented, and self-starting Financial Analyst/Transaction Manager to join their growing team.
They understand the unique vocabulary, systems, processes, and people involved in the CRE industry, and are a student of the business. The Financial Analyst/Transaction Manager is a people person with an aptitude for efficiency, a knack for building and maintaining strong relationships, managing a multitude of ongoing transactions, and supporting the team in the attainment of individual and team KPI’s.
To facilitate greater collaboration and improved communication, this role is in-office 5 days/week out of the firm’s office in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
A day in the life of the successful Financial Analyst/Transaction Manager includes, but is not limited to:
- Financial Management: Developing and managing budgets for real estate properties, monitoring financial performance, and implementing cost-saving measures to maximize profitability
- Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing operational efficiencies and best practices to streamline processes, reducing operational costs, and improving overall portfolio performance
- Compliance and Regulation: Staying current with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations. Ensuring properties comply with all legal requirements, including safety, zoning, and environmental regulations
- Reporting and Analysis: Generating regular reports on property performance, financial metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Using KPIs and EOS to manage a team, making informed decisions, and drive strategic planning
- Pipeline Management: Managing and overseeing the team's acquisition pipeline including properties under evaluation, stages of LOI, and deals under contract. Maintaining and growing the firm’s CRM database
- Document Creation: Supporting the team with deal negotiations beginning with letters of intent (LOIs) for each identified investment
Requirements
A day in the life of the successful Financial Analyst/Transaction Manager includes, but is not limited to:
- 3-5 years’ experience in commercial real estate
- A hands-on understanding of Industrial and Retail asset classes
- Strong understanding of real estate laws, regulations, and industry trends
- Exceptional financial management skills, including budgeting and key financial analysis calculations like IRR, NOI, Cap Rates, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective tenant and stakeholder relations
- Proficiency in property management software, Microsoft Office Excel & Suite, CoStar, & CRMs
