Job Summary:
Design and/or engineer and/or start-up control system hardware and software programming based on project plans, specifications, and other contract documents. Provide analysis of building control and HVAC system performance at a complete systems and campus level. Ensure documentation is accurate and complete. Provide project management on projects as required, interfacing directly to our customers. Supervise subcontractors and suppliers. Direct project financial responsibility increases with tenure in this position, including use of company project management financial reports.
Duties and Responsibilities (vary between Technicians and Engineers):
Create the Team is focused in the field of HVAC controls, building automation, energy services, plus fire/life-safety/security all around the United States. Primarily, the roles we fill are for Controls Engineers, Controls Technicians, and Sales Engineers. We will also work to recruit for Project Managers and other related roles in HVAC, building systems, contracting and energy conservation. Our common client is a Controls Contractor, anywhere from a 10-person company to a $100M company with hundreds of employees, and from small markets to very large metropolitan markets. In many markets, we are placing fire alarm, life safety and security (card access and CCTV) salespeople, system designers, IT/Network electricians, inspectors and management/leaders. Many more of our clients nowadays do work in Critical Facilities / Data Centers.

- Control system overall design
- Control programming, integration and graphic development
- Manage the start up of control and HVAC systems
- Manage the commissioning of control and HVAC systems
- Record and update drawings and software modifications
- Engineer field changes, maintain as-build documentation
- Develop and conduct Owner training
- Provide project management tasks (job plans, labor planning/scheduling, fiscal analysis, etc)
- Material ordering/coordination
- Programming skills
- Strong interactive, analytical and communication skills
- Management of technicians and subcontractors
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits
- Knowledge of DDC Control Theory and Applications
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised
- ACAD skills
- Engineering undergraduate degree, military experience or trade school experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer programming experience
- HVAC and/or Mechanical system experience
