Job Description:

We are seeking motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Wedding Setup and Tear Down Crew Members. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the physical labor involved in setting up and breaking down wedding events at various venues. This position requires strong teamwork, excellent organizational skills, and a positive attitude to help ensure each event is executed flawlessly.

Responsibilities:

  • Wedding Setup:
  • Arrive on time to the wedding venue, following a detailed plan provided by the client or event coordinator.
  • Set up ceremony and reception spaces, including arranging furniture, decor, floral arrangements, and lighting.
  • Ensure all items are set up according to the event plan, paying attention to detail and ensuring perfection.
  • Set up sound systems, AV equipment, and other technical elements as needed.
  • Assist with placing signage, table settings, and other decorations.
  • Wedding Tear Down:
  • Safely and efficiently tear down event items once the celebration concludes.
  • Carefully pack away rented or personal decor, furniture, and equipment for transport.
  • Assist in the cleaning and clearing of the venue.
  • Follow company policies for inventory management and ensure items are accounted for.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure a high level of professionalism and discretion while interacting with clients, guests, and vendors.
  • Help maintain a positive atmosphere at all times, ensuring the bride, groom, and guests are pleased with the set-up and breakdown process.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with other crew members, vendors, and wedding planners to ensure a smooth and timely setup and teardown process.
  • Adapt to last-minute changes or special requests and work to resolve any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in event setup or similar hands-on work is preferred but not required. We will provide training.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, move, and arrange heavy objects (up to [X] lbs) and stand or bend for long periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed instructions and ensure all items are correctly set up and packed.
  • Time Management: Must be punctual and able to work efficiently within tight timelines.
  • Team Player: Comfortable working in a team setting and taking direction from event coordinators and other crew members.
  • Flexible Schedule: Availability to work weekends, evenings, and occasional holidays, as weddings typically take place during these times.
  • Reliable Transportation: Ability to get to and from wedding venues on time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to [X] lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during setup and tear down.
  • Ability to work outdoors and indoors, in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week
