CNC Programmer Job Description
Overview
We are currently looking to bring a new member into our team. Business is booming in the new space startup and defense development world and we can never seem to get ahead of our workload.
If you are passionate about machining, machine technology, automation, etc. then this would be a great fit for you. Ownership works side by side employees on the shop floor to produce parts, finish projects, develop new processes, and better the working environment.
Looking for someone with 5 years of experience minimum that has the basics down and that we can mold / push to their next level / potential. The shop has 30 CNC machines and 30 employees so this will not be a job where you sit at the desk programming all day.
Machine experience / first part prove-out is required.
Ideal Candidate
- 5 years experience in CAD / CAM. We use Siemens NX but its a pretty easy transition from something like Fusion 360.
- 5 years experience in an environment where you are given a project and you return with a finished part
- GD&T / Print reading in the Aerospace industry
- Team player / able to work along side entry level employees and help build them up / develop their potential.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Siemens NX to create detailed schematics and tooling designs.
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations.
- Utilize AutoCAD and other CAD software to create detailed schematics and tooling designs.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring they are calibrated correctly for optimal performance.
- Conduct inspections using bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines to verify the accuracy of machined parts.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement solutions to improve production efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of programming changes, setups, and machine operations for quality control purposes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CNC technology.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
