Daily Responsibilities
- Work with mechanical engineers to understand machine functionality
- Specify control hardware including PLCs, HMIs, servos, VFDs, sensors, pneumatics, safety components, networking, vision
- Build bill of materials
- Design control schematics using AutoCAD
- Ladder logic programming of PLCs
- HMI development
- Servo sizing and control
- System integration with other machinery manufacturers
- In-house testing and customer runoff
- Interaction with customers throughout design, build, and installation processes
- Travel to customer facilities for start-up as required (15% travel)
- Technical support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Rockwell CompactLogix programming experience
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Project management skills
- Creativity and problem-solving abilities
- Mechanical aptitude
