POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provides software and network support, using system analysis techniques, training, and troubleshooting in a networked microcomputer environment. Provides support on a wide range of applications including Microsoft products.
TASKS OF THE POSITION:
Serves as primary Windows support plant side during 2nd shift operating hours
Answers incoming helpdesk calls regarding IT issues
Serves as the primary support in troubleshooting hardware issues with desktop PC’s, servers, printers, etc.
Troubleshoots software issues with Windows and custom applications
Coordinates software updates on servers and production PC's during non-production hours
Works with vendors and/or other application support to support production needs
Documents all support work in the helpdesk ticketing system
Successful and timely completion of project-related tasks are expected
Will serve as on-call as needed. This will include Saturday production days
Participates and supports activities within the plant to include 5S, Kaizen, Quick Hits, Six Sigma, and other related continuous improvement events
Must adhere to all safety (PPE) and uniform policies
Must have the ability to follow all company policies including ISO 9001 2008/ISO 1400 and QOS adherence (where applicable) and MAI Companies’ (GLA, GLA, IS) Associate handbook and safety manuals
Will perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
General IT knowledge, A certification, Net Certification
General knowledge of standard IT equipment
Microsoft Office
Experience with Microsoft SQL or other modern databases is a plus
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Safety apparel (PPE) and uniform mandatory
Must be able to continuously lift 30 to 75 lbs. and occasionally carry a distance of 30 to 50 feet
Tasks that require continuous reaching, kneeling, grasping, twisting, bending, leaning and extension of upper body
Perform job requirements of a Production Associate as needed
Work daily assigned shift to include overtime, up to and including production Saturdays, shutdown days, and holidays as needed
Follow all company policies including IS0 9001 2008/ISO 14000 and QOS adherence (where applicable) and MAI Companies’ (GLA, GSA, IA) Associate Handbook and Safety Manual
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.40 - $29.11 per hour
