Prepare and cook lunch for our small preschool for the summer months of June, July and August.
Duties
- Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
- Apportion and serve food to students.
- Cook foodstuffs according to menus, or numbers of portions to be served.
- Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, or poultry.
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment.
- Compile and maintain records of food use and expenditures.
- Take inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Serve food or beverages.
- Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
- Cook foods.
- Cut cooked or raw foods.
- Prepare foods for cooking or serving.
- Clean tableware.
Requirements
- Complete and document at least 4 hours of training in kitchen sanitation, food handling, and nutrition prior to beginning work, and one hour of training in kitchen sanitation, food handling, and nutrition annually thereafter. (as required by WI DCF)
- able to work Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m.
