Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Proposal Writer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality proposals and responses to RFPs/RFIs that effectively communicate our client's behavioral health services and solutions. This role requires a keen understanding of the behavioral health landscape and the ability to translate complex information into clear, persuasive proposals.
This is a fully remote freelance role that will require at least 15 hours/week of availability, but could be up to 40 hours/week depending on the candidate & proposal.

Key Responsibilities
- Crafting compelling, strategic, and client-focused Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
- Utilize proposal databases, collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, customized responses that align with client needs and consultant proposal strategies.
- Research and analyze RFPs/RFIs related to behavioral health services.
- Draft, edit, and finalize proposals ensuring they meet all requirements and guidelines.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather necessary information and insights for proposals.
- Develop and maintain a library of proposal templates and best practices.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals and adherence to submission guidelines.
- Engage with stakeholders to refine proposals and incorporate feedback.
- Track proposal outcomes and gather lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- 3 years of experience with writing behavioral health bid responses for small to mid-sized BH companies and health systems
- Proven experience in proposal writing, particularly in behavioral health.
- Strong understanding of RFP/RFI processes and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
