Our multinational news client is seeking a talented Writer to craft its early-morning newsletter. Candidates must be willing to work overnight M - F for this position (e.g., 12am - 8:30am ET). This role is fully-remote (40 hrs./week).
This role involves working closely with the newsletter Editor to select articles, videos, and other content, writing the newsletter Monday through Friday, and creating a weekly news quiz.

Key Responsibilities
- Write and produce the daily material (Monday - Friday).
- Collaborate with the newsletter Editor to select top news and feature content.
- Craft a weekly news quiz.
- Identify and execute opportunities to enhance the newsletter.
- 5 Years of News Writing or Reporting: Previous experience in news writing or reporting is preferred.
- Strong News Judgment: Experience working for a news organization with an understanding of writing and editing nuances.
- Deadline Oriented: Comfortable working with changing deadlines and keeping communications organized.
- Knowledge of communication apps for team collaboration.
- Ability to follow breaking news closely.
- Understanding of newsletter audience strategy and success metrics.
- Deadline-oriented with strong news judgment.
- Ability to generate enterprise ideas and work well independently and with a team.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate the news cycle and deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study or equivalent experience.
