Our client is a startup - but with excellent former corporate leadership at the helm - in the fintech world, looking to make healthcare and wellness as accessible as possible for their B2B partners. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to play a critical role in building, teaching, and managing their Quality Management System. They currently do NOT have a QMS in place and you would be at the forefront of all expertise in this area.
The Quality Manager will develop the QMS, drive and support consistent documentation, and ensure that all operational processes, customer interactions, and compliance measures align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company goals.
Candidates must have a strong background in quality management, fintech or healthcare operations, and continuous improvement methodologies. Exceptional attention to detail and expertise in quality, CAPA, documentation, and various audit processes within the fintech or healthcare benefits industry will be key to success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Sunny quality management systems (SQMS) to ensure compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics to senior leadership, identifying trends and areas for improvement
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for quality-related issues across operations
- Oversee internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up.
- Establish quality standards and procedures for all operational procedures and product outputs
- Partner with all cross functional teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes
- Develop clear, transparent communications pertaining to issues that drive confidence for internal partners and clients that there is a path to resolution
- Develop and deliver quality training programs for employees at all levels
- Drive a culture of quality awareness, ownership, and continuous improvement throughout the organization
- Lead or support initiatives related to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Manage a team of quality assurance personnel and oversee their daily activities, goals, and performance
- Ensure operational adherence to fintech/healthcare regulations and risk frameworks
- Conduct regular compliance reviews and support remediation of audit findings
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to manage regulatory obligations
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Operations, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality or operations management role
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, Lean)
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record in implementing process improvements and leading cross-functional teams
- Certification or equivalent experience in quality management (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt)
- Experience in healthcare technology or fintech environments
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for healthcare and financial products
- Demonstrated success in building QMS, process improvement and problem-solving
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a start-up environment
- Strong communication skills, exhibiting grace under pressure
- Experience in a fast-paced environment, adaptable to changing priorities
- Intrinsic motivation and commitment to quality work
