Position Overview
The Learning Design Specialist will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences using various educational technologies and instructional design models. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop content that aligns with the organization's educational goals and marketing strategies.
This is a hybrid 12-month contract position in Knoxville, TX.

Position Overview
The Learning Design Specialist will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences using various educational technologies and instructional design models. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop content that aligns with the organization's educational goals and marketing strategies.
This is a hybrid 12-month contract position in Knoxville, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop creative and engaging learning content that aligns with organizational goals and objectives such as videos, one-pagers, presentations, courses, and toolkits on a variety of platforms e.g. Articulate Rise, Canva, Shootsta, etc.
- Create supporting documents and marketing content to promote learning programs and increase engagement among employees, e.g. program overviews, email banners, FAQ guides, one-pagers, visuals for events, podcasts, videos, etc.
- Create templates using visual design principles to ensure content is appealing and aligns with brand guidelines.
- Adapt learning models and materials in a simplified and comprehensible way for external faculty.
- Work on a variety of PowerPoint documents such as strategy documents and proposals for the wider learning team.
- Source licensed images and appropriate IP for learning programs.
- Create visual reports for post program data.
- Work with a variety of LMS and learning platforms to upload, test, and maintain SCORM files, courses and offerings; problem solve, test, and resolve issues with LMS to suit stakeholders needs.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design, marketing, and LMS technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in instructional and graphic design, and multimedia tools with the ability to design visually appealing learning materials that are engaging and convey information effectively.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
- Proficiency in writing and editing educational and marketing content.
- Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint for creating templates and presentations
- Ability to organize tasks, manage timelines, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills to work with various teams and stakeholders and troubleshoot issues related to content delivery and needs.
