Our client, a law firm, is seeking to hire a full-time Marketing Manager, Client Engagement.
This role requires being onsite in Chicago five days a week. Hours are 9-5 CST. This position offers the privilege of some flexibility while regular, reliable attendance is expected and required. Additional hours may be required during periods of heavy workload. Flexibility is required in the daily work schedule to accommodate lawyers and general Firm requirements.
This role is to backfill a position. This candidate will be more hands-on, providing support when needed, especially given upcoming programming scheduled for May/June. In this position you'll find room for growth and advancement, given access to tools and resources needed to do your job well.

Responsibilities
- Client and events-focused (this individual will likely not be responsible for pitches/proposals/etc. You will act as a representative of the company, organizing and attending events, representing and maintaining firm's brand
- Will be hands-on when it comes to event planning and confirming logistics
- Collaborates with office leaders to prepare and manage marketing budget(s) for the office/region, including evaluating the ROI of initiatives to recommend and plan future efforts; coordinates with practice and industry liaisons to review and plan for office/regional events and programs that align with firm strategy
- Leads implementation and maintenance of the Firm's CRM system in the office/region and leverages the system to connect lawyers, clients, and other contacts; leverages Department and Firm technology to track and analyze relationships and activities to make data-driven decisions that improve client engagement with key clients.
- Works with office/regional lawyers and global practice liaisons on the creation, editing, and maintenance of external communications and marketing materials, including lawyer biographies, Sidley updates, advertisements, invitations, website pages, and social media content
- Works with the Communications and PR team to identify thought leadership topics and their lawyers to engage in media commentary, article publication, podcasts
- Minimum of 8 years of professional marketing, business development, or other relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in marketing, communication, or related field
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Comfortable with project-based work, acting as a PM and collaborating with business professionals inside and outside of the Marketing department (across different practices, locations, functions, etc.)
- Experience in marketing, business development, event planning, and/or other relevant experience in a law firm or other professional services organization is preferred.
- Understanding of the local/regional market for legal services and competitive landscape is preferred
- Supervisory, managerial, and/or project management experience.
- Working knowledge of customer relationship, pipeline, and experience management databases such as InterAction or Salesforce.
