Position Overview
Our client, a leader in the Lighting Design industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Merchandising Product Manager to join their team. This is perfect for someone just starting in the field and wanting to learn and grow in their career. This will be up to 40 hours per week, onsite fully in Mount Prospect, IL.
As the Merchandising Product Manager, you will oversee day-to-day tasks, including sample inventory and planning.

Position Overview

As the Merchandising Product Manager, you will oversee day-to-day tasks, including sample inventory and planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage samples and inventory for a highly SKU-intensive business and in-house manufacturing
- Maintain inventory levels based on open-to-buy, inventory turn, sales plans, and key budget/financial metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate product launches
- Help monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and market trends
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Create and manage buy plans and receipt plans to ensure optimal inventory levels
- Develop and implement store allocation strategies to maximize sales and minimize excess inventory
- Conduct regular inventory audits and make recommendations for improvements
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions
- 0 years of experience needed but interest in merchandising, preferably in a highly SKU-intensive business
- Interest in in-house manufacturing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and retail merchandising software
- Knowledge of lighting design and related products is a plus
