Job Description
Our client is a fast-growing fintech start up and they are hiring for a Senior Director of Reporting and Data File Management to join their team FULL-TIME (and remotely)! As the Senior Director of Reporting and Data File Management, you will be a critical member of our client's team. In this role, you will build and lead a team of reporting experts and data file managers while delivering on critical internal and external data, KPIs, and reporting requirements. You and your team will lead the effort to build and manage the movement of critical transactional data to help ensure our success as a company.
Our client's product is primarily software and in the form of an app, with a physical component to it as well - considering someone who has experience collecting and reporting on data with similar product background will be key!

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and performance metrics across departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and provide actionable insights.
- Manage and work to improve reporting systems, tools, and processes (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, etc.).
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with data governance policies.
- Lead a team of reporting analysts, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Partner with IT/data engineering to optimize data sources and automate reporting workflows.
- Translate complex data into executive-level presentations and recommendations.
- Identify trends and patterns in data to help drive business strategy and performance improvements.
- Lead the day-to-day movement of transactional data.
- Organize, manage, and maintain digital and physical file systems.
- Ensure accurate naming conventions, folder structures, and metadata tagging.
- Implement and monitor data backup and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with departments to develop and enforce data retention policies.
- Track, archive, and purge outdated or redundant files in accordance with policy.
- Ensure data security by managing permissions and access controls.
- Conduct regular audits of file systems to ensure compliance and integrity.
- Train staff on data file organization standards and best practices.
- Work with IT teams to integrate file management systems with other enterprise platforms.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of leadership, data management & reporting capabilities experience
- Experience in fintech or healthcare industry.
- Experience working for a product or service that has a digital component (mobile app, website, email, etc)
- Strong analytic skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients and vendor partners.
- Outstanding track record of exceeding client expectations.
- Must be able to recognize basic procedural issues as they arise and escalate to the appropriate level.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-growing organization.
- Ability to innovate, think outside the box, and solve problems creatively.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Unparalleled commitment to putting clients and members first.
- Experience implementing healthcare services and/or products for marginalized populations is a plus.
