Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. This position requires attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for operating machinery, conducting quality checks, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals.
Candidates are desired to have experience in the following. Experience beneficial, but not required (will be trained):
Responsibilities
- Working with various hand tools such as scissors, palm sanders, adhesives, drills, rivet guns, fasteners, wrenches, precision measuring devices.
- Conduct regular quality inspections of products and processes to maintain standards.
- Layup of dry fabrics and prepregs, as well as use of tackifiers.
- Mold fabrication.
- General selection & understanding of resin systems for part and tooling manufacture.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment maintenance.
- Preforming of fabrics. Laying up structures using reinforcements such as fiberglass, Kevlar & carbon fiber.
- Molding parts using liquid molding processes or prepregs.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and workflow.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Process monitoring (temperature, pressure & cure).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts as needed.
