What are the responsibilities and job description for the Search Engine Optimization Specialist position at Creative Cove Inc.?
Our Boston based marketing technology company is looking for an SEO Editor for an 8 week contract; this role will be 20 hours a week. Looking for experience with Wordpress, SEO content knowledge and experience and the ability to write and/or edit to an SEO brief.
Day in the life:
- Retrieving briefs from SEO agency, which could go up to 15 briefs in a month
- Reviewing briefs for appropriate tone/story for company and product
- Submitting briefs to freelancing portal
- Editing freelance submissions/requesting revisions within ~5-day window (~15/month or 30,000 words)
- Laying out final submissions in Wordpress and coordinating with Manager or Director for final publish (~15-20 a month)
- Attends input meetings to gather necessary product information; takes notes and follows up on missing info and merch queries; passes info along to copywriter.
- Works with copywriter to address inconsistencies in style and text.
- Produces a style sheet, ensuring consistency and order of elements that make up a copy block, such as sizes, dimensions, etc.
- Corrects errors in spelling, grammar, syntax and structure.
