What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier - MBU campus dining position at Creative Dining Services?
Creative Dining Services is looking for a Cashier to join our dining services team at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, MO. The Cashier greets guests as they enter or exit the dining area, assists in utilization of student meal plans, or itemizes guest purchases and processes transactions of cash, check, credit, or payments, as well as assisting in other areas of the dining service as needed.
Full or part-time roles are available, and weekend availability is a plus, as we serve hungry college students 7 days a week. Enjoy time off over academic breaks like the winter and summer holidays, and more!
Core Responsibilities
- Follows all cash handling procedures.
- Counts back change correctly.
- Runs a register, other devices and Credit Card Machine accurately.
- Ensures accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements during work shift.
- Communicates with our guests in a friendly manner.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Basic reading and math skills
- Must be able to communicate and understand primary language(s) use by guests who typically visit the work location
- Knowledge and ability to operate cash register and various payment forms
