Full-time Caterer - GRCC Dining Services

Creative Dining Services at Grand Rapids Community College is looking for a Caterer to join us in providing high quality food and excellent service to the GRCC community! Located in a convenient downtown location, the catering staff serve as partners with the Dining Services Supervisor / Director. This role includes the actual working of coffee breaks, receptions, and meals including set-up, service, and clean-up for events all over the GRCC campus. Catering staff interact with customers/ guests at events with professionalism, service and grace. 

Availability: Monday - Friday, typically 8am-4pm. Most of our catering occurs during our regular business hours, so this position should involve very few late nights, weekends, or holidays! 

 Core Responsibilities

• Sets up, serves and cleans up dining room and/or event spaces as directed.
• Interacts with guests and customers at events with professionalism, service and grace, upholding the customer service expectations of CDS and the client/account.
• Ensures all dishes, utensils, and other equipment from the storeroom are clean and properly returned to their correct place. Ensures proper lock-up procedures are followed and enforced.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous catering and server experience
• Experience in a high-volume catering operation (preferred)
