What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Creative Dining Services?
Creative Dining Services is looking for a Line Cook at Ent Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO. Located near Voyager/Interquest Parkway, this position involves working in the cafeteria of a multi-tenant corporate office, serving workers and guests daily, as well as some catering of special events as needed. The Line Cook is responsible for ensuring that high-quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation.
Some prior cooking experience is required, with knowledge of batch cooking, preparation and production timing and proper food handling, storage and hot/cold holding practices. Other duties may include putting away and pulling stock and assisting with daily cleaning and santitation tasks.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner that preserves food freshness, quality and appeal
- Utilize safe food handling & storage techniques at all times
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
- Support other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately
- Removal of refuse as needed
- Putting away/Pulling stock as needed
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Minimum of 1 year cooking experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- ServSafe Certification preferred
