Pizza/Deli Prep - Kraft cafeteria

Creative Dining Services is looking for a Prep Cook at the Kraft-Heinz Dining Center in Champaign, IL. This role will help prepare menu items for cafeteria service daily, with a focus on pizzas and paninis, hot and cold deli sandwiches, etc.  You will work cooperatively as a valued member of our dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary and helping to provide a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for workers from all over the Kraft campus. 

Availability required: Monday through Friday, First shift schedule is 6:00am to 1:30pm (full time)

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal
• Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production
• Utilize safe food handling, holding and storage techniques at all times
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment at all times
• Support other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience
• Prior experience with pizza-making and/or deli prep is a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• ServSafe Certification
