Creative Dining Services is seeking an experienced, dedicated Sous Chef to join our dining services team, serving the Kraft-Heinz facility in Champaign, IL. The Sous Chef plays a vital role in planning and directing food preparation, ensuring timely and efficient service every day. This includes supervision of staff and some administrative duties, training staff and ensuring the dining services operation is adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.

This kitchen operates 3 shifts per day, serving meals and snacks to the employees of the Kraft facility - we are currently looking for a Sous Chef to help lead our 3rd shift (nights), Monday-Friday from 10:00pm to 4:00am the next morning.
Core Responsibilities
- Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service.
- Supervise and train staff.
- Read and understand Function Sheets for menus and time of functions.
- Produce and maintain prep sheets and duty rosters.
- Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production. If work shift requires, properly open and/or close the kitchen.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary Arts Degree preferred
- 3 years cooking experience
- Supervisory experience
- ServSafe Certification
- First Aid training
- A can-do attitude
- A focus on professionalism, quality product, and excellent customer service
