What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility (Dishwasher)/Prep - Full-Time position at Creative Dining Services?
Creative Dining Services is looking for a full-time Utility (Dishwasher)/Prep staff member at Indiana University Northwest in Gary, IN. The Utility/Prep staff members work to ensure the facility is clean, sanitary, safe and suitable for food preparation and the customer experience. Utility/Prep staff also help ensure equipment, tables, chairs, floors, trash bins, loading areas, and food storage areas are clean, in good working condition, and are regularly attended to as well as assisting with food preparation, when needed.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensures trash bins are clean and emptied as needed throughout the day. Picks up trash and debris in all areas.
- Sweeps, scrubs and mops kitchen and cooler floors daily and as needed
- Keeps the dock and receiving area clean and organized at all times
- Works in the dishroom as required, ensuring all equipment, pots/pans, smallwares and serviceware are clean and safe for use
- Assists in cleaning back of house (i.e. work tables, walls, etc.) and front of house (i.e. guest tables, dispensers, walls, carpets, tables)
- Assists with food preparation and any other duties as needed.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
