We are seeking a motivated and experienced 1099 contract Sales Representative to join our team in the corrugated box/packaging and chipboard industry. Typical Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new customers in need of corrugated boxes and chipboard materials for packaging (e.g., retail, industrial use, shipping, etc.).
- Manage relationships with existing clients to maintain and grow accounts.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Provide pricing quotes and detailed information on available products to potential and current clients.
Product Knowledge:
- Have a solid understanding of corrugated packaging materials and chipboard solutions, including single-wall, double-wall, custom packaging, and chipboard products used for packaging, displays, and protective packaging.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new innovations, and competitors' offerings to provide clients with the best solutions.
Negotiation and Closing Sales:
- Negotiate terms and pricing with clients, ensuring both satisfaction and profitability.
- Close sales deals, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
Administrative Tasks:
- Handle order processing and coordinate with production or fulfillment teams to ensure smooth delivery.
Compensation:
- This is a 1099 contractor role. The sales rep will earn a commission based on the percent of gross profits.
- Commissions on sales will allow for significant uncapped potential.
- As a contractor, you will be responsible for your own taxes, benefits, and business-related expenses.
Requirements:
- Proven sales experience, ideally in the corrugated packaging or chipboard industry or related fields (e.g., packaging solutions, materials, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of corrugated materials, chipboard products, packaging specifications, and solutions (single-wall, double-wall, custom packaging, and chipboard-based packaging products).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage clients and close deals.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and work independently without direct supervision.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients or attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Self-motivated with the administrative ability to track sales and handle client orders independently.
