What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Designer position at CREATIVE ENVIRONMENT CORP?
As an Electrical Designer you will provide Revit/CAD/design support and assist with the preparation of drawings in partnership with senior level mechanical and electrical designers and engineers. The Electrical Designer requires strong organizational and communication skills to meet the deadline driven nature of the work and must be highly motivated.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with maintaining company Revit/CAD standards.
- Setup project Revit/CAD files.
- Offer assistance to other in-house Revit/CAD users, as applicable.
- Plotting and electronic file submissions.
- Archive completed projects.
- Assist with preparation of electrical drawings based on verbal direction and redline drawings.
- Preparation of Revit/CAD files for project closeout.
- Revit modeling including the creation of Revit families.
- Make deliveries as needed, mileage will be reimbursed.
- Work in a team driven environment.
- Attend in-house Revit/Cad/technical training seminars.
- Complete security, safety and other training assigned by the company.
- Review codes and make engineering decisions.
- Produce electrical designs with assistance from more senior staff.
- Write reports and other project documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program. Non-ABET candidates will also be reviewed.
- Electrical design experience and Revit/CAD drafting experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with project managers, engineers, designers and other team members.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
Work Environment, Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This position requires the employee to work in a professional office environment and routinely use standard office equipment. Occasionally you may travel to client sites, both indoor and outdoor environments. Position will entail frequent sedentary work and occasional standing. It is a full-time 40-hour position. Days and hours of work may vary but are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with light travel required to job sites.
