Summary

As a Construction Manager at Creative Environments, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality landscape construction projects that enhance client satisfaction and uphold the company’s reputation for excellence. This role is centered on ensuring seamless project execution, driving superior quality, maintaining safety, and achieving cost efficiency.

You will act as a trusted liaison between clients, designers, and project teams, building trust and alignment through transparency and effective communication. By prioritizing collaboration and consistently delivering on commitments, you will ensure every project is completed to the highest standards while providing an exceptional customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by maintaining consistent communication, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring clients feel valued and involved throughout the project.
  • Take a proactive, concierge-style approach to guide clients through the construction process, anticipating their needs and serving as their main point of contact.
  • Conduct milestone walks with clients and designers at key stages of the project to review progress, address concerns, and ensure alignment with expectations.
  • Utilize Procore project management software to accurately document project data, track progress, and maintain schedules, enabling efficient collaboration and decision-making.
  • Develop and manage detailed construction schedules, monitor progress, and resolve delays or issues to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Collaborate closely with project engineers and designers to ensure effective communication, alignment, and smooth transitions from design to construction.
  • Promote transparency by providing regular updates on project progress, including accurate contributions to 2- and 12-week collections reports to align milestones and expectations.
  • Uphold commitments to clients by prioritizing schedules, delivering high-quality results, and ensuring project milestones are met without compromise.
  • Create a supportive environment within project teams, building alignment and communication to drive project success

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management (PMP), or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction techniques, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership abilities paired with exceptional negotiation skills to drive project success.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders.

​​​​​​​Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of walking job sites and lifting heavy objects
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
  • Ability to walk a jobsite on uneven terrain in the extreme heat or cold.

This involves developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. You will be responsible for coordinating the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and other project team members to ensure that the project progresses smoothly.
  • Quality control and assurance: Ensuring that construction projects are completed to the highest standards of quality is another crucial accountability. You will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting the work to identify any defects or deviations from specifications. Implementing a comprehensive quality control plan, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any issues promptly are essential to deliver a high-quality finished product.
  • Safety management: Construction sites can be hazardous environments, so maintaining a strong commitment to safety is vital. As a construction manager, you are accountable for establishing and enforcing safety procedures and protocols. Regular safety meetings, inspections, and training programs to ensure that all workers prioritize safety on the job site are part of your responsibilities.
  • Cost control: Construction projects are often subject to tight budgets, and effective cost control is essential. You will be responsible for closely monitoring expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing project finances. This includes overseeing the procurement of materials and services, negotiating contracts, and managing change orders to ensure that the project remains within budget.​​​​​​​
