Key Responsibilities Of The Accountant
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, track grant spending, and assist with reporting to funding agencies.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate with program managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and relevant regulations.
- 3 years of accounting experience, including strong understanding of AP/AR.
- Accounting degree is a plus.
- Nonprofit industry experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
