Audit Manager

Location: Melbourne, FL

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 plus Bonus

A well-established CPA firm in the Greater Orlando area is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead and manage audit engagements. This role is ideal for a CPA with a strong background in public accounting, hands-on audit experience, and proven leadership skills. The Audit Supervisor will oversee the full audit process, collaborate with clients, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities Of The Audit Manager

• Lead Audit Engagements: Manage all phases of audit engagements, from planning to final reporting, ensuring efficiency and adherence to high-quality standards.
• Supervise and Develop Staff: Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to audit team members to support their professional growth.
• Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing insights, and fostering strong business relationships.
• Risk Assessment & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and identify areas for process improvements.
• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of audit reports and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP and other standards.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to enhancing audit methodologies and best practices within the firm.
  
  

Qualifications Of The Audit Manager

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Certification: Active CPA license required.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years in audit, including 2 years in a supervisory role (CPA firm experience strongly preferred).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in audit software, MS Office Suite, GAAP, and other accounting standards.
